Catered Affairs grew out of La Trattoria, a Key West dining institution since 1982. The kitchen culture and service standards come from running real restaurants — not a banquet hall.

Severe peanut, tree-nut, and shellfish allergies are handled with cross-contamination protocols pulled directly from our restaurant kitchens. Vegan and gluten-free designed in, not bolted on.

How much does a Key West wedding caterer cost?

Key West wedding catering typically runs $125 to $275 per person all-in, depending on menu style, service level, bar package, and venue requirements. A full-service plated dinner with passed hors d’oeuvres, three-course meal, professional wait staff, bar, and rentals usually starts around $185 per person.

Can you cater at outdoor Key West venues like Fort Zachary Taylor or Smathers Beach?

Yes — this is what our mobile kitchens are built for. We cook fresh on-site at every Key West wedding venue including Fort Zachary Taylor, Key West Garden Club, Hemingway Home, Audubon House, Casa Marina, Sunset Key, Smathers Beach, Higgs Beach, and Truman Annex.

How far in advance should we book?

Most Key West weddings book 9 to 14 months out. Saturday dates from October through April book first — for those, plan on 12+ months. Off-season dates (June–August) often have more flexibility and meaningful pricing differences.

Do you handle destination weddings if we don’t live in Florida?

Most of our weddings are destination weddings. We handle the entire process remotely — virtual planning calls, photo proofs, vendor coordination, contracts — with one in-person tasting at La Trattoria Oceanside when you visit Key West.

What about food allergies and dietary restrictions?

We accommodate all major dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, kosher-style, severe peanut/tree-nut/shellfish allergies. Our on-site mobile kitchen lets us control prep surfaces and prevent cross-contamination the way a restaurant does.
